Hows hoilday so far.?
Here is the lastest update about the dpa outing. The outing has been changed.
Date: 9 Oct 2008 (Date will not change anymore.)
Venue: Ken's Place @ Simei (BBQ)
Time: 5.00pm (Main Comm need to arrive at 4.00pm)
Pick-up point: Meet at Tamp. Interchange before heading off to Kenn's place
An Email containing information on the outing will be sent to everyone. Do reply the Email to confirm your attendance by ( 25 Sept 2008 )

About me
What is Direct Polytechnic Admission?
1. The Direct Polytechnic Admissions (DPA) Exercise is an admission exercise which allows students who have the passion and aptitude for applied learning to secure a place in a polytechnic course before you sit for your ‘O’ Level examinations.
2. It’s an avenue for students whose passion and talent in a specific field are not fully reflected in their examination results.
Why DPA?
It gives us greater flexibility to select you based on a wider range of your talents other than your examination results. You get to enjoy special preparatory programmes which let you chalk up poly credits counting towards your graduation before your friends even enrol!

“Initially, I wondered why my other secondary school friends were playing while I was studying and starting my poly life so soon. Over time, I have learnt many things from DPA. My Cross Disciplinary Subjects: Japanese Language and Psychology of Creativity, are subjects that I don’t find in my secondary school. I also learnt to be a leader when we were camping together. It's more than studies in Polytechnic Preparatory Programme (PPP). It's all about fun, learning, interaction and friendship. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

“I personally feel that DPA is very enriching as we are given a broader view and better insights about the courses offered in the Business school. Also,we are lucky to be able to try out some CCAs. PPP helps us to be more familiar with the TP environment and culture. We have the chance to bond with the seniors too. It feels great to be among the unique first batch of students.”
