finally, after saying I would for a really long time, I have come back to blog for DPA. It's been a few weeks since school started already and i must say we are still as consistent as ever... some of us at least. for the rest of us clashing timetables are still a constant nag and we don't get to meet up as much as we would like to. Still, there is always a reason to meet up - we love each other.
this is not gonna be an 'emo' post. gonna try not to make it one anyway.
Some of us can't cope with studies now and are lagging behind. i know I am, and i wonder why. How is it that some of us have been through two cds and yet can't cope now? must be because we were only exposed to two subjects then and it was less stressful. i think i got used to the way things worked then and thought that it would onloy get easier, not harder. after all many were giving us the impression that the amount of time we spent one day in school was equivalent to the timing they spent in school in an entire week. who was the idiot who suggested that? I want to stuff eggs into his nose.
unless he is from DPA, of course.
I find myself coming to school for the wrong things sometimes... I live through the day wondering when I will run into you guys and when I will be going to the pool. If i see you guys it brightens up my day.
but let's not let this get personal (haha sorry kenneth)
see, a bunch of us still try to get together. we meet in judo, in swimming, at sentosa and along corridors. I miss the times when we all could see each other everyday for long periods of time. haha, attached much?
let us keep in touch always, DPA... let us always find ways to keep this love alive. it survives and thrives on its own though.
for some reason you guys are the first people i think of when i run into difficulties. you guys have ways to make me smile and i thank you guys for that.
so cheers to this bunch of soothing, loving, people. see you guys whenever, wherever and for whatever reason.
love, meiyan

hey guys.

About me
What is Direct Polytechnic Admission?
1. The Direct Polytechnic Admissions (DPA) Exercise is an admission exercise which allows students who have the passion and
aptitude for applied learning to secure a place in a polytechnic course before you sit for your ‘O’ Level examinations.
2. It’s an avenue for students whose passion and talent in a specific field are not fully reflected in their examination results.
Why DPA?
It gives us greater flexibility to select you based on a wider range of your talents other than your examination results.
You get to enjoy special preparatory programmes which let you chalk up poly credits counting towards your graduation before your friends even enrol!
What our Pioneers say!
Cheryl:
“Initially, I wondered why my other secondary school friends were playing while I was studying and starting my poly life so soon. Over time, I have learnt many things from DPA.
My Cross Disciplinary Subjects: Japanese Language and Psychology of Creativity, are subjects that I don’t find in my secondary school. I also learnt to be a leader when we were camping together.
It's more than studies in Polytechnic Preparatory Programme (PPP). It's all about fun, learning, interaction and friendship. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
Nur Fazleena:
“I personally feel that DPA is very enriching as we are given a broader view and better insights about the courses offered in the Business school. Also,we are lucky to be able to try out some CCAs.
PPP helps us to be more familiar with the TP environment and culture. We have the chance to bond with the seniors too. It feels great to be among the unique first batch of students.”
Zhi Yong:
“DPA - It’s an exercise we would never want to miss, a journey that leads to great friendships and unexpected valuable learning as well.”
Kenneth:
"DPA is one admission exercise different from any other Direct Entry Exercise. The friends you make here last forever.
Besides, DPA allows me to finish three CDS and collect nine credit units within the fun-filled eight-week PPP in TP."
Theresa:
"DPA gives an edge over the rest? Definitely! And it comes with whole lot of fun, learning and excitement.
The best part is I get to meet friends that I would never let go of."
