hey everyone, I am back. It's really been a wonderful time during our week zero orientation camp isn't it? Well, for me, I should say I am both happy and sad. Having to go for WorldSkills Qualifying round on Thursday and Worldskills grahpics training yesterday for awhile excused us from orientation. BUT we did not manage to go for orientation, and personally I rather go for my Worldskills competition. haha. alrite, I think all of us feel excited when school starts as well as disappointed that school is starting becasue we can hardly meet up.
Anyway, three cheers for BUSINESS, they got champion for TP's interschool games or whatever they call it. Way to go BUSINESS. Other schools, we did our best also, so don't be disappointed. haha ok, so some of us DPA did enjoy ourselves at Jam and Hop on FRI. It's really hot there, not because of the band and stuffs, but because of humidity. Everyone of us went real crazy, so guess we all had a enjoyable time yesterday. Cheryl, no matter what, don't feel so sad ok, don't cry. We will always be here, so DPA whatever the circumstances will be one big family. However hard we must meet up okay, so we won't be separated because of the different schools, we will still meet up. I really miss you guys, and I love you all! DPA isn't my regret, but my regret is on the first day, why didn't I make more friends and bond closer, that way, we will be closer by now, even though we are close already. My regret is also not having time to meet up MORE with you all. Let's make time for one another, and let us not leave any regrets at the end of our 3years. I should say, DPA in TP was my best choice. It really holds many significance to my life, many wonderful BEST FRIENDS I ever had, which three months became stronger than my 5years with my friends in SEC SCHOOL.
Next, most of us will be joining TPSU Subcomm, and lets make this goal that we will be on stage like Tat yi in year 2 to cry on stage. Not because it is something to show off about, but to show that our bond is so strong that we feel for TP and our fellow friends of DPA and TPSU alrite? Whoever wants to join TPSU, email our DPA email then we go together to sign up. As DPA, I believe that everyone of us holds certain qualities of a leader, so lets work hard towards our goals and TOP the SCHOOL ok?
GO Temasek GO! I believe, I embrace you. GO Temasek GO! I rejoice, I adore you. Students work in harmony, working for their dreams and goals. Wonderful society. TEMASEK! WAY TO GO!
GO DPA GO! I believe, I embrace you. GO DPA GO! I rejoice, I ADORE you. DPA work in harmony, working for our dreams and goals. Wonderful society. DPA...! WAY TO GO!
okay. anyway, this was one thing my Course Manager taught me. I want to share this with you all. LETS work TOWARDS our goals. DPA, for us to top our school, our course. We must MUST get our lecture notes way beforehand. When I say WAY BEFOREHAND, doesn't mean one day before your lecture. It means a week or two before your lecture. Study them FIRST, then on the day of our lecture. WE aren't there to learn what we already know, instead we are there to know what we don't know. Also to say, since we have our lecture notes beforehand, during lectures, we are there to CLARIFY our DOUBTS, our questions. so like that we DPA are always ONE STEP faster then our classmates. Of course, we must help our classmates too, so we can also learn from there. Alrite? DPA ROCKS STILL!

About me
What is Direct Polytechnic Admission?
1. The Direct Polytechnic Admissions (DPA) Exercise is an admission exercise which allows students who have the passion and
aptitude for applied learning to secure a place in a polytechnic course before you sit for your ‘O’ Level examinations.
2. It’s an avenue for students whose passion and talent in a specific field are not fully reflected in their examination results.
Why DPA?
It gives us greater flexibility to select you based on a wider range of your talents other than your examination results.
You get to enjoy special preparatory programmes which let you chalk up poly credits counting towards your graduation before your friends even enrol!
What our Pioneers say!
Cheryl:
“Initially, I wondered why my other secondary school friends were playing while I was studying and starting my poly life so soon. Over time, I have learnt many things from DPA.
My Cross Disciplinary Subjects: Japanese Language and Psychology of Creativity, are subjects that I don’t find in my secondary school. I also learnt to be a leader when we were camping together.
It's more than studies in Polytechnic Preparatory Programme (PPP). It's all about fun, learning, interaction and friendship. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
Nur Fazleena:
“I personally feel that DPA is very enriching as we are given a broader view and better insights about the courses offered in the Business school. Also,we are lucky to be able to try out some CCAs.
PPP helps us to be more familiar with the TP environment and culture. We have the chance to bond with the seniors too. It feels great to be among the unique first batch of students.”
Zhi Yong:
“DPA - It’s an exercise we would never want to miss, a journey that leads to great friendships and unexpected valuable learning as well.”
Kenneth:
"DPA is one admission exercise different from any other Direct Entry Exercise. The friends you make here last forever.
Besides, DPA allows me to finish three CDS and collect nine credit units within the fun-filled eight-week PPP in TP."
Theresa:
"DPA gives an edge over the rest? Definitely! And it comes with whole lot of fun, learning and excitement.
The best part is I get to meet friends that I would never let go of."
