Hey everyone! DPA is the very first admission for all Polys. So as the first batch of DPA Students, we would like to share our experience, and welcome all to our BLOG! You guys might also wonder, why our blog post will end with "De Perfect Answer...". well, I think DPA students you all should know right? It means, DPA(De Perfect Answer). POWERFULL RIGHT! so don't mess with DPA! haha
TP DPA RAWKS!!! Welcome all freshmen of AY 08/09 into TP! Enjoy TP!!!
What is DPA? DPA is Direct Polytechnic Admission. Having to choose our school and course of study before our 'O' Level results gives us an advantage over others. DPA Students entered into TP through our talents and interest rather than by our 'O' Level results. DPA Students will spend 3months in TP ahead of freshmen, which gives us an advantage to be familiar with TP and the surrodnings, as well as getting to know our lecturers.
What makes us different from the other freshmen? As DPA students, we have already completed 2CDS during our 3months in TP. However for IIT and HSS, we have already finished our 3CDS. and our last CDS spent us 9days. haha 3months has also indeed bring us closer to one another. Besides, we started school since January and have familiarise ourselves with TP, make new friends, know our lecturers and being the first batch of DPA students is an honour.
Next up, we as DPA Students, no longer freshmen, would like to welcome all into our blog. We would share our experiences as a DPA student with all of you, and will post lots and lots of events, activites down here!
To all freshmen, we hope that you have enjoyed your FOW and FOC 2008, and as much as we enjoyed it, we hope that you have made lots of friends here in TP. FOW & FOC should give you a clear idea of what TP is about and also to orientate you around the school as well. TP is ONE BIG FAMILY!
It really is saddening to leave DPA friends which I MUST HANGOUT WITH. It really makes me tear when I see us being seperated, and seeing Glenn, maybelin they all cry. It is just like the bond is so strong to be breakable. I love DPA always, and DPA OLs. For freshies, you might not understand this, when time to come, hope you will understand it.

What is Direct Polytechnic Admission?
1. The Direct Polytechnic Admissions (DPA) Exercise is an admission exercise which allows students who have the passion and
aptitude for applied learning to secure a place in a polytechnic course before you sit for your ‘O’ Level examinations.
2. It’s an avenue for students whose passion and talent in a specific field are not fully reflected in their examination results.
Why DPA?
It gives us greater flexibility to select you based on a wider range of your talents other than your examination results.
You get to enjoy special preparatory programmes which let you chalk up poly credits counting towards your graduation before your friends even enrol!
